Can't Wait to Come Back!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kaibo Dreams! The property and Villa were clean and comfortable. We appreciated the amenities and useable items such as washer/dryer, dishwasher, extra blankets/towels, air conditioning, and cook ware/utencils. The screened in porch was a great place to have meals. This unit is on the second floor and you enter it street-side. We loved having the beach so close and we enjoyed being able to use the lounge chairs all day. There are lots of things to do on the island including snorkeling, crystal caves tour, the botanic gardens, starfish point, stingray city, and many restaurants. Definitely visit 7 mile beach or a beach on that side of the island for the clearest water you\'ve ever seen! We rented a car which I highly recommend. Do plan to have some sort of GPS (on phone) because navigating without it was tough. We really enjoyed our stay and can\'t wait to go back!

Lovely Villa Right on the Beach

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kaibo Dreams! The property and Villa were clean and comfortable. We appreciated the amenities and useable items such as washer/dryer, dishwasher, extra blankets/towels, and cook ware. The screened in porch was a great place to have meals. We loved being able to walk right out onto the beach. There were lots of things to do on the island including the crystal caves tour, botanic gardens, 7 mile beach, turtle center, and snorkeling. We booked the snorkeling tour to Stingray City through White Sands which was easily our favorite part of the trip. The staff were very friendly and the property manager, Chloe, even brought us a rum cake as a honeymoon gift. We can't wait to go back!!

Postcard vacation!

It was wonderful to feel as if we were vacationing in a postcard! The view of water, sand and sunsets was lovely. Many days during our one week stay we had the beach all to ourselves, from morning coffee to late afternoon cocktails. The water isn\'t so good for wading unless you have water shoes. Shells and small rocks till you\'re about 5 or 10 feet in. Snorkeling isn\'t great, but you\'ll see a lot of colorful starfish. Swimming, kayaking and floating is terrific. A very short walk to the morning coffee shop or the Kaibo Yacht Club bar and restaurant. One evening we could hear the music at the yacht club from the condo porch, but it was pretty quiet inside our unit. Tuesday morning from about 730 till 930 they cleaned the beach with leaf blowers, but otherwise it was a perfectly quiet week.....just what we were looking for. Starfish Point is only a 10 minute walk, but we saw so many starfish on our own beach (which was nicer than Starfish Point) that it really wasn\'t worth the walk. Rum Point is about a half hour walk. Chisolms Grocery is a 10 minute drive. Much higher prices than Fosters, but very convenient and a fair selection. The water taxi to Cabana Beach ($25 round trip booked on the Cayman Ferry app) leaves directly from Kaibo dock and is a nice shopping and dining excursion, plus an opportunity to pick up groceries at Fosters. Good prices and fabulous selection there. They even have some water toys. (Innertubes for $17) You\'ll want a car for restaurants (other than the yacht club) or for excursions to the botanical gardens, Crystal Cave, etc. There are bioluminescent and stingray excursions directly from Kaibo dock. Kaibo was so much calmer and fewer people than Seven Mile and other beaches. But if you\'re looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you!

Exactly what we expected.

Perfect location, perfect vibe, perfect unit. Right on the beach with plenty of room and nice outdoor furniture, just steps from the pool in one direction, and steps from the yacht club in the other. SO glad that we chose this end of the island instead of the 7 mile beach area. No comparison! The unit was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed for our 11 day visit. The screen porch of this second-floor unit was our go-to spot for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. We made our reservation with Scott, and he made the process simple and easy. You cannot go wrong selecting Kaibo Dreams for your vacation on Grand Cayman.

Rest and Relaxation

Tranquility at its best!

Definitely made of Dreams!

We stayed at Kaibo Dreams for a week and it was absolutely incredible. The peacefulness of the area, the gorgeous views, and the activity of the yacht club next door all contributed to our favourite place in the world veranda that we sat on while we were not out on the beaches. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, and it was great to have use of the washer and dryer. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom newly renovated. We loved being so close to the Kaibo coffee shop. In short, we had an amazing week! Thank you so much! We will definitely be returning!

Everything we Needed

A peace of paradise

Loved this little one-bedroom condo on the second floor overlooking a beautiful beach and bay. Very quiet and peaceful, with a coffee shop and restaurant just steps away. Management handled issues with remodelling noise from the next-door condo very fairly and speedily. If you're looking for waves and surf, this is not the spot on the beach for you, but if you want a beautiful setting framed with palm trees and gentle water, look no further!

Kaibo Dreams

We enjoyed our stay at Kaibo Dreams from January 8 to February 25. It’s access to the beach, water and swimming pool was great. The view from the screened in porch was lovely and we spent a great amount of time there taking in the boating activities and the beautiful surroundings. It was also handy to have the Kaibo restaurant next to the complex. Chloe Campbell, our property manager was very friendly, accommodating and eager to make our vacation pleasant from the beginning to the end. She was always available….. just a phone call away! Our communication with Grand Cayman Villas and Condos/Silver Thatch was greatly appreciated before and after our arrival through emails, phone calls and direct contact.

Enjoyed the stay

The unit was clean and on the second level. Some of the web ad photos were not of the unit we thought we were renting. The beach was exactly as represented in the photos. The building was mostly empty so it was quiet. BUT - you might want to plan on being away from the unit on Sat. night. The nearby bar/restaurant plays music at their top volume which I found quite disturbing. It was quiet on other nights. It is quite a long drive to the west side of the island (Seven Mile Beach area) and there sure is a traffic jam back-up during rush hour(s). So plan an extra 20 min. + driving time during rush hour. We liked the quiet beach and facility without tons of people. Overall great place to stay for the money. - Check with your own car insurance company before arriving to see if you are covered in the Caymans. The car rental we used told us we were not and we signed up for their very expensive insurance - only to find out on Monday that my car insurance did cover us while in the Caymans.

Great space away from the hustle and bustle of Georgetown. Being next to Kaibo Beach restaurant was very convenient. We could literally walk 50 feet along the beach to get drinks, dinner or coffee. Bonus: the property management company provided free chairs and a cooler for our stay.

Outstanding!

This place is perfect for a two person getaway. The condo is clean and has all the amenities you need. There is a coffee shop about 100 yards away and a highly rated restaurant right beside it. Close to Rum Pointe also. Kaibo dreams was perfect for my wife and I. The views were great and close to enough to keep you there. Was really outstanding.

The beach behind the Kaibo Condo complex is pure barefoot sand. Facing the sound, the waters here are clear and calm. There are no reefs here to snorkel, nor is the sea bottom sandy.

All beaches are technically public and there are some nicer beaches nearby open for your use. 

For barefoot swimming and snorkeling, we recommend walking up the street to Gardens of the Kai, or Rum Point Beach (a 2-minute drive, or 10-minute walk away). Not only are the beaches there swimmable, but Rum Point Beach also offers a bar and grill, lounge chaises, and a variety of water sports activities to keep you active.

General Grand Cayman Beach Notes

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Booking Rules

  • 4 nights minimum stay required.
  • 5 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Thanksgiving week.
  • 7 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Christmas and New Year's week.
  • Christmas & New Year's dates are split into two rental periods. Please inquire with your travel dates prior to booking.
  • Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
  • Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.
