Great Escape is located on the island's Bioluminescent Bay in Cayman Kai merely a few steps from the Rum Point Club. 


This sprawling villa consists of the main villa, with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, plus an optional 1-bedroom, 1-bath guest cottage. Renting both the villa and cottage gives guests two superb king suites, 2 additional guest bedrooms, plus an extra bathroom. 


With a large, freshwater swimming pool, optional pool heat, barefoot sandy beach, and spacious interiors, Great Escape is a fantastic property for your island getaway. 


Sleeping Arrangements for MAIN VILLA

  • Primary Suite: waterfront views, king bed, sofa seating, television, walk-out access to the screened porch, ensuite with dual vanity, and large shower with dual shower heads.

  • Bedroom #1: waterfront views, king bed, television, walk-out access to the screened porch, shares a hall bath equipped with a shower bath.

  • Bedroom #2: garden views, queen bed, television, shares a hall bath equipped with a shower bath.


Sleeping Arrangements for OPTIONAL COTTAGE
(Sleeps 2 adults plus 2 children)



  • Cottage Suite: detached from the main villa with private entry, kitchenette, water and pool deck views, king bed, sofa daybed (sleeps 2 children), television, walk-out access to a private screened porch with ping pong table and sofa loungers, ensuite with shower bath.


Great Escape’s interiors are updated and modern, with cool tile floors and lively decor. Plenty of windows and sliding glass doors open onto the pool deck and fill the home with natural light and gorgeous views. 


On the occasional lazy day, guests can relax across the large screened porch with comfortable seating, or play a friendly game of ping pong without losing the breeze or water views.


A family kitchen sits just off of the screened porch and comes equipped with granite countertops, an island breakfast bar with stool seating, and a full range of modern appliances. Cookware, dishware, cutlery, and coffeemaker are all provided. 


Boasting one of the largest residential swimming pools in Cayman Kai, Great Escape's outdoor amenities are top-notch. The pool features a built-in tabletop with submerged bar seating. Optional pool heat is available at $250 per week. 


The pool deck overlooks the tranquil cove and is lined with chaise lounges, shade umbrellas, and a plush daybed with a canopy. 


Guests can enjoy al fresco dining poolside and under the stars! An outdoor kitchen comes equipped with a gas BBQ grill and a dining table seating 8.


With its own private dock, guests can dock boat rentals and jet skis right in the backyard. If hiring a private boat charter to Stingray City request dock-side service and get picked up right off your backyard!


With its spacious interiors and stellar outdoor amenities, Great Escape is the perfect vacation villa for large family vacations or multiple couples on a tropical getaway.

Amazing and Much Needed!

Our trip to the Great Escape at Rum Point was both amazing and much needed. All of the bedrooms had so much space and kept us cool at night. The whole house stayed cool and gave relief from the daytime heat when needed. The pool has a table with 4 seats that became the center for waterproof card games and great conversation. There are so many great places to disappear to if you choose to take a nap around the pool. The lanai (porch) was fully screened in which was a nice feature to keep the bugs off us when the wind stops at night; although most of the time it was breezy, so no bugs. The surrounding landscaping was very lovely to look at while floating around. There was a sand wash off station that was an underrated amenity. The gas grill worked wonderfully. The kitchen was big with plenty of space to store food and fix breakfast, even with a large crew. The kitchen was also very well stocked with more than enough silverware, dishes, cups and cookware. I would go back in one click with no remorse.

Beautiful Home in Great Location

Great escape was perfect for our family. Spacious bedrooms, a large kitchen with everything we needed. The pool was amazing and the ping pong table was a big hit. Alex our property manager handled our AC issue quickly and also made sure the pool was cleaned as requested after several days of dirt build up. Rum point club was a good option for food and walkable. We also really enjoyed Eagle Ray (25 minute drive). Suggestions…bring coffee filters, extra Toilet paper and Pam for cooking. We would love to return. Thanks for a great stay.

Amazing 5 Star

The property was absolutely amazing!!! Our group couldn\\\'t have been more happy with the villa. We had 7 adults in our group. Between the main house and pool house we had more than enough space. The house was incredibly clean when we arrived and well stocked. The outdoor space is a haven. The pictures don\\\'t do it justice A few pointers you may want to know. It is not close to 7-mile beach. If you are looking for night life, shopping and a bunch of restaurants to choose from, then be prepared to drive. If you want something quiet and less touristy, this is the place!! There are some restaurants near by, and only one that is within walking distance. Thank you, Great Escape for making our vacation so perfect.

Amazing

If you’re looking for a place to relax and be away from the tourist traps, this is your spot. We like exploring and driving on our vacations so this was a perfect place to make a home base. The house is beautifully laid out and stocked with everything you need. Wonderful guest services. And 100% recommend having Chef Eliot from Bespoke Catering to cook for you. Some of the best dining experiences we’d ever had. Was just supposed to come once but we had to try more of his food.

Such a Fantastic Place!

Can\'t say enough good stuff about Great Escape. Great room and Kitchen were awesome for cooking which we did a decent amount of. The pool is HUGE and the Bioluminescence bay was very cool. Beware the upside down jellyfish if you are out in the bay, they sit on the bottom so easy to avoid but just something to be aware of. Loved the north end of the island location, we had a rental car and did day trips as we wanted to 7 mile beach, different snorkeling spots and dinner a couple of nights. I could go on and on about this fabulous home and location

Stunning

We had a wonderful visit. Great escape was the perfect property. It had absolutely everything we needed. The property is even more stunning in person. More than enough space for multi families. Endless areas indoors and outdoors to relax. A great place for kids. The bioluminescent bay right off the dock, starfish point and sting ray city were favorites. But we were thrilled just to lounge in the huge pool, paddle board and relax in the hammock. The property is far from seven mile beach, but we knew this and prepared by stocking up on groceries. We much preferred the out of town private feel.

Little Slice of Heaven

For the first time in our vacation history we came home rested & relaxed. The Great Escape was our “home away from home”. The turtle on the porch and the view to the bay through the front door left our children speechless! Hubby and I knew our weeks were going to be perfect! The entire home and casita were well appointed; every amenity one can imagine. The decor was beautiful & furniture comfy. We loved the subtle island vibe. Ample space for our children (ages 20,18,16 & 11) to enjoy time together or separate for down time. Great “chef’s”kitchen. The family watched plenty of sports and movies at night on the big screen. WOW factors for all of us were the outdoor options. 1) The screened in porches had dining, couches/chaises and ping pong - ceiling fans & lighting for day or night. 2) The pool was magnificent - boys enjoyed ball toss for hours & family engaged in ruthless Uno (waterproof cards) at the pool table. Ample seating for sunning on deck. 3) We used the grill and smoker daily. 4) Loved our morning coffee & late afternoon beverages on the boat deck & covered patio. Even took a few snoozes in the hammock. Deck area was deep enough for pick-up if you go the private excursion route (highly recommend!). 5) Mini-beach for paddle board, kayak or snorkeling was excellent for all. The bay is quiet & provides easy access to other site-seeing spots. DO NOT forget the bioluminescence bay @ night - truly amazing! Communication before, during & after was excellent - quick and friendly. GCV&C group were so accommodating throughout - special thanks to Ran. We did utilize the Silver Thatch rental services for a private boat excursion (shout out to Capt. Kevin & Edgar- awesome snorkeling tour!) & water toys. Roy & local team - thank you for your help during our stay. Recommend fishing w/ captainjake@caymanoffshoreadventures.com! Dining @ Tukka East & Calypso Grill. Enough said - loved it! We’ll be back soon!

The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.

The cove-front homes in Cayman Kai offer calm serene water for docking a rental boat, charter boat pick-up, or just safe shallow swimming for little children. Adults won’t swim in the cove as the Rum Point Club is too nice by comparison.

You get the best of both worlds at Great Escape: a backyard facing the cove with a private pool and boat dock, proximity to the Rum Point Club, plus an idyllic beach across the street.  Public right-of-way beach access is located diagonally across the street.

The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, water sports, a restaurant bar and grill, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also nearby is the Kaibo Yacht Club featuring a fine dining restaurant, a casual beach bar and grill, and a marina. Overall, Cayman Kai is a fabulous neighborhood dotted with million-dollar oceanfront villas and sweeping views.

Lastly, about 20 minutes east we have two large resorts (Morritt's and The Reef) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, liquor store, gift shops, a Subway sandwich shop, and a cafe/pastry shop. These two resorts also offer scuba, snorkel trips, jet skis, windsurfing, kiteboarding, oceanfront pools, and bar service.

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.

Booking Rules

  • 5 nights minimum stay required.
  • 6 nights minimum and 4BR configuration required over Thanksgiving week.
  • 7 nights minimum and 4BR configuration required over Christmas and New Year's week.
  • Christmas & New Year's dates are split into two rental periods. Please inquire with your travel dates prior to booking.
  • Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
  • Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.
