Coconut Beach is an oceanfront family-friendly oasis located in the picturesque Rum Point community along Grand Cayman’s north coast. 


This large, one-story beach house spans 4,200 sq. ft. and can sleep 12 guests across 5 bedrooms in the main house, plus a detached 1 bed/1 bath studio suite above the garage. Perfect for vacationing grandparents, or in-laws, the studio suite provides added privacy and is never rented out to unrelated guests during your stay.


The focal point of the main house is the great room. Connecting both bedroom wings of the villa, and opening onto an enclosed sun porch, the great room provides sunny ocean views throughout the living, dining, and kitchen areas.


With its airy, open-concept design the great room includes a dining table with seating for 10, a TV den with two cozy couches, and a full kitchen with breakfast counter seating for 6. A separate kids' table with chairs is provided for our tiny guests.

  • Master Suite - oceanfront views, king bed, walk-out access to the pool deck, private ensuite bath with shower.

  • Middle Suite - queen bed, garden views, shares Jack & Jill bathroom with shower with the West Twin Suite.

  • West Twin Suite - 2 twin beds, garden views, shares Jack & Jill bathroom with shower with the Middle Suite; twin beds can be fitted into a king upon request. 

  • Guest Suite - oceanfront views, king bed, walk-out access to the beach cabana, ensuite bath with shower connects to East Twin Suite.

  • East Twin Suite - 2 twin beds, garden views, private ensuite half bath, shares shower with the Guest Suite; twin beds can be fitted into a king bed upon request.

  • Studio Suite - detached from the main villa above the garage, queen bed, kitchenette with breakfast bar seating, television, full bath, air conditioning, stacked washer & dryer. 


Outside, guests at Coconut Beach will enjoy the villa’s sandy, palm-shaded beach great for long walks, or lazy afternoons with your toes in the sand. The villa’s wraparound patio leads to a new beach cabana with ample seating for sunset viewings.


The pool deck is furnished with multiple loungers surrounding the villa’s freshwater plunge pool. An outdoor shower sits off the pool deck to rinse off after a long day of sun and surf.

What a wonderful place for a family get together

The house is wonderful. The property management team is the best - knowledgeable, responsive and courteous. The house is set on a wonderful beach. The beach had sand castles being built by kids from 3 generations from 1 to 61. On a clear day the snorkeling is very nice with some small reefs a medium distance away but still very shallow water. Further out the reefs become more defined and it gets deeper. We even saw a reef shark in about 20’ of water. The pool was a big hit for the grandkids. So much fun. If the shrieks of laughter are still echoing, yes, that was probably them. ;^) The house was so very comfortable. Everyone had space and a big room to commingle. A great family atmosphere. The kitchen was well stocked. It had room for multiple people doing different things. One night we had a private chef show up and prepare an exquisite meal. Probably cheaper than a restaurant and far easier to manage a 1 and 4 year old. Can’t say enough about how much fun we had.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

Great vacation villa for our family of 9 adults. The house layout was great, with each couple getting a private bedroom, and the shared spaces were comfortable and spacious. Outside was also great! Especially enjoyed the gazebo area, the many seating spots, the pool, and the beachfront. Lots of extras at the home that were appreciated and saved us some packing room - big cooler, speakers, sunscreen, beach towels. We got a bit unlucky with some windy weather while we were there which made for quite a bit of sargassum on the beach and not the best snorkeling / kayaking conditions, but we made do. Appreciated the quiet laid back atmosphere of the north end of the island and the quick drive to Rum Point. Glad we picked this spot!

Peaceful Family Time

We enjoyed the size and location of the house. The pool was a wonderful place for our elementary school aged grandchildren to swim and play. It was easier swimming for them than the ocean. The north side of the island (where the house is located) is much quieter and peaceful than the south side. We were able to relax under the pergola, reading books, talking with family members while seeing the ocean and hearing the waves roll in. Several of us took time to enjoy the hammock. While the ocean access from the house’s beach is easy the amount of seaweed in the water interfered with our swimming in it. It was just a matter of timing. By the end of our stay all the seaweed had washed to shore and the water was clear. But we did enjoy exploring the beach and shallow water. There were all kinds of shells, crabs, snails, rocks and a variety of fish and birds to see. Having a charcoal grill available was very nice. And the property was large enough for the children to run and play games. We truly enjoyed our time at Coconut Beach.

Perfect for Our Family

Coconut Beach was the perfect house & quiet property for our family of 8 adults and four children (ages 11, 8, 7 & 6 yrs). The two rooms having two twin beds in each room we’re just right for the children and the four rooms with queen and king sized beds for the couples. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us to eat at the kitchen counter and dining table. We especially appreciated having a wide selection of spices available for our meal preparations and all the pots, pans, bowl & utensils we needed. The pool was used every day. The weak swimmers among us grew in confidence and ability as a result. There was also plenty of grassy property for the children to run and play & beach to explore. Alex was quick to respond when a light bulb burned out. Also when there were problems with one of the beds sending a handyman to quickly and efficiently repair it. The nearby grocery store and restaurants were convenient. The public beaches also provided more fun in exploration (variety of fish, shells, stones, crabs, lizards). We highly recommend Coconut Beach. As my daughter-in-law said, “This was a dream vacation.” A great place for our close family to share.

Fabulous Beachfront Home!

My family & I stayed at Coconut Beach over the 2019 Holidays and it was superb. There were 11 of us and it's well-designed and spacious for a larger group, with 5 bedrooms in the main house, including 2 with twin beds perfect for kids. My sister joked about staying "above the garage" but that space is downright luxurious with a nicely appointed King bed, large TV, bathroom and kitchenette. The beach is wide and sandy, and the snorkeling is great. I think everyone's favorite part of the house was the large gazebo area that easily seated all of us, with views of the ocean and shade from the sun. It was perfect. Rum Point & Kaibo are a quick 5 minute drive away. I would highly recommend this property!

Charming house

We really enjoyed the house and property! Travelled with another family and the house layout was perfect for kids to run around, yet everyone had ample space. The backyard, patio and pool area are wonderfully landscaped and a Caribbean delight. The only downside is the beach was overrun with sea grass making it less than ideal for beach play. We loved the “remoteness” of the property But still enjoying all of the comforts of home.

We had a large storm hit the island from the north. Wish you reached out while you were there. The local manager would have removed/pushed aside the majority of the sea grass.Just impossible to control Mother Nture 100% of the time...

Spacious and As Advertised!

We loved our stay at Coconut Beach. Everything was clean and in order upon arrival, beach cleaned and kayaks delivered! We swam, snorkeled and kayaked every day off the beach. While the southern side of the island was full of seaweed, the Rum Point area seemed to be spared, having only minimal seaweed. The home itself is a wonderful vacation home. The five bedrooms were exactly as offered, beds comfortable. Plenty of room for 10.The living area was wide open and appealing. The 6th bedroom garage apartment was beautiful, new and a great hangout in evenings! Views were sensational. We went to Rum Point almost daily and recommend Starfish Point and the Kaibo (beach pizza oven!) as well. Crystal Caves were fun for the kids. Blow holes were a fun excursion. Dinners at Tukka, Italian Kitchen, Over the Edge were all very nice. Taco Cantina is a must!!! All in all a fantastic vacation. We recommend Coconut Beach and Grand Cayman Villas. Thank you all for helping us create a memorable family vacation!

Coconut Beach

We loved the house and the pool and beach area!! It was perfect for our family. The kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms were a perfect size. My husband and I stayed in the garage apartment and it was nice for us and quiet. I was concerned that the windows did not have shades but it turned out to be fine. I did see some ants in the apartment though. The trash was only picked up once a week. The internet seemed to not work properly especially in the evenings. I was concerned about the about of trash that washed up on shore. So on the last day I began to pick up trash and ended up picking up 3 bags of trash. I could have picked up one more bag but time ran out and we had to get ready for dinner. Where does all that trash come from? Cuba? Lots of shoes washed ashore!! overall, we loved the house though!!

Family Fun at Coconut Beach

We spent a week at Coconut Beach to celebrate the New Year with our three grown sons....and had a wonderful time. A very nice rental property. The house is well appointed and had things we needed. It is a good beach house....not luxurious, but very casual and well done. Bedrooms were comfortable and provided everyone personal space. Bedrooms each has baths which is a plus. The property outside is large with plenty of space -- lots of sand, the cabana/patio is a very nice touch and great place to gather. There is plenty of shade to get out of the sun. Beach is nice and we used the kayaks a few times, along with the small plunge pool. Proximity to Rum Point and Kaibo is terrific and this side of the island is quiet and relaxing. This is a good family home, probably even more so with younger children, but has a great cottage feel! Cute spot and definitely recommend to others.

Loved Coconut Beach!

Loved our stay! We were worried at first because we read reviews about the guy living in the guest apartment above the garage, but that\'s not the case anymore! The house has one of the best beaches on Cayman. We kayaked and snorkel behind the house a lot! Loved that Silver Thatch had free snorkel gear for us and the kids! They had a great time at Starfish point which is really close by. It was the perfect family vacation home for us. Our new home away from home!

School's Out Vacation

The first thing we noticed upon arrival was the ocean of course! Crystal clear, swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. The home was well maintained and the manager was responsive when we had internet questions. The bedrooms were quite comfortable and private from one another. The living area was very nice and the above the garage apartment spacious and updated! There was a feud over who would get that bedroom/living area!!! Happy with the home, location, activities. The Silver Thatch center was not far away and a couple in the group were able to exercise daily in a well-appointed fitness center. The staff at Silver Thatch was wonderful - we used snorkel gear, cooler, baby items and other items. Very nice not to have had to pack those things. We did venture to Rum Point and Starfish Point several times. Rented jet skiis. Explored the island - the Crystal Caves ere recommended and we loved them! Thank you GCV for a wonderful vacation. We will be back!

Happiness Again!

This marks our third time staying at Coconut Beach - first time reviewing however. There will be a fourth time!!! Our family loves Coconut Beach. With the new 6th bedroom addition, we were able to bring more guests, and this vacation ranks tops for our family. We swam, kayaked and snorkeled every day. The marine life is fantastic with hundreds of fish, squid, couple stingrays and one small turtle! The north side of the island is wonderful for snorkkeling and we even went to Spotts Beach where we saw a dozen turtles!!! We dove with George at White Sand Diving and he also took up to the stingrays on the charter boat. Certainly all highlights of our trip. We find the home the perfect balance between home and cottage. The snorkel gear provided by the Silver Thatch was an added bonus and we used the discount card everywhere we went. Tukka is always a favorite - get there at 5pm to see the cooks feed tarpon, small sharks and frigate birds!!! Again, we will be back next year!

Spring Break in Cayman

We loved our stay on Grand Cayman. This was our second trip to the island. First time we were on 7 mile beach, and although it was beautiful there, we felt crowded... This time we rented in Rum Point at Coconut Beach and had a fantastic vacation. Privacy when we needed and lots of activities nearby - Rum Point, Kaibo, Starfish point, public beaches, snorkeling, crystal caves, east end beaches, on and on!!! We will likely come back to Rum Point going forward. We did still drive over to 7 mile beach for an afternoon to see friends there, but we were happy to get back to our piece of paradise!!! Thank You Coconut Beach! Fantastic memories for a lifetime!

A Valentine's Winter Break from Everything

Getting away from mid-winters harsh weather! That was the goal! Goal achieved! Loved our stay and we will return over and over again. The home was wonderful, well-appointed, some games. Beach was nice and sandy and swimming was excellent - pool shoes necessary. Everyone kayaked daily and snorkeled off the kayaks, The water is not deep all the way out to the reef. The pool was refreshing. We had some caution with prior reviews about a medical student living over the garage, but no one was there during our stay!!! We were told the apartment was vacant, would be renovated, and available for rent with the home at a later date. All in all 5 stars for Coconut Beach!!!

There was a Med student living in the garage apartment. He is gone now and the apartment is now offered as a 6th bedroom option for larger families. If not rented, it is simply locked off.  Please come back son!  --Scott

Wonderful Home, Great Location, Snorkeling

We rented Coconut Beach for our yearly two family summer vacation. The home fit perfectly for out families with 6 children and a couple college aged kids. Lots of room for everyone. The home was clean upon arrival and we were surprised how large the home was. The 6th bedroom above the garage was fabulous and the kids stayed up there playing alot. We read reviews about a long term tenant living there, but that apparently is no longer the case. The Rum Point area was fabulous and the local restaurants were exceptional. We loved Kurt\'s corner, Rum Point, Tukka and the Taco Cantina! Highly recommended to families with children, two families like ours. Lots to do - never a dull moment! Dave P

Perfect Location

This house has the best beach!! We loved it. The beach is huge and nice and sandy. One of the girls in our group was proposed to on this beach! It was beautiful. We loved staying here. It feels like a cottage beach house even though it\'s rather big! Starfish point is close by and so is the Rum Point Club! Spend a lot of our time and drinking money there!! Coconut Beach was the perfect location and beach for us!

Wonderful Property!

The layout of the home is comfortable and inviting and can easily accommodate families and friends with sufficient space to congregate. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need and the outside is steps away from the ocean with space to sun and shaded areas for those who prefer to stay out of the sun. Rum point is a 5 minute drive. We loved our stay!

Best Family Vacation

Best family vacation we\'ve ever had! We\'ve been traveling to different tropical locations for years, but Cayman is our new favorite! We loved the safe environment where we could have privacy but still have things to do nearby. We did the bioluminescent tour as well which was so cool. None of us will ever forget that memory! One thing we wish we would have done was book a charter, but there\'s always next year! 😉

Coconut Beach - charming vacation beach home

We recently enjoyed extended stay at Coconut Beach Villa. This is a charming beach home accommodating to one or more families. There was plenty of things to do inside and out of the home, including children\'s games and pool toys, a radio/karaoke machine, in addition to routine daily amenities. The rental company was highly responsive and accommodating. The Caymanians are amazing people. The location of Coconut Beach Villa is quick access to Kaibo Marina to book a charter to see Starry Point and Bioluminescence Bay or simply eat. We loved Rum Point Beach, a few minutes drive, to get tasty afternoon snacks and libations or to rent jet skis and paddle boats for our children. We also alternated driving to Seven Mile Beach to enjoy the park and a change of scenery. However, we were quite content to stay home at Coconut Beach villa, in its pool or the beach. We have many great family memories and will return.

The Beach is Awesome

We went on a new years girl\'s trip to Coconut Beach! It was a nice and warm unlike New York in January ha! Our favorite part about the house was the beach! Spent every day out there. We also went to the Rum Point Club a lot for some afternoon drinks! Overall the girls loved the house and location. Can\'t get any better than having your own private beach!

A vacation to remember

My 10 member family, four generations, 84/3 years of age. Visited Grand Cayman and had a great week at Coconut Beach villa. A week with family and felt comfortable all week. Pictures on the site, didn’t do this properly justice loved every minute we spend there. Enjoyed the north end and it’s wind, I will miss the wind, the palm trees on this beach front property. Would stay here again, thank you Grand Cayman.

Great Two Family House for a True Getaway

We wanted a house that could accommodate two families of four each, with two adults and two elementary school aged kids (8 total people). The house was perfect in that regard. The floor plan is smart, functional, collaborative yet allowed families space and separation when needed. We chose to flip a coin for the more choice master bedroom. Externally, the house is a little tough to find as it\'s driveway entrance is hard to discern and tight, especially at night. The front yard was only used to grill, which worked out well. The back yard was amazing. Palms everywhere, a hammock, lounge chairs, well groomed sandy ground. The swing was not functional. We didn\'t use the pool as the weather never got hot enough, due to coolish breeze, but it looked great. The view out the back, under the covered patio, was top shelf and truly awe inspiring. The beach condition started off poorly with lots of washed up turtle grass and debris. We spent an hour raking all that away to reveal a nice 20 meter stretch of sandy playground. Would have been great to have that taken care of prior but no big deal. Water entry wasn\'t the best for kids with lots of broken coral, turtle grass, etc... One can\'t blame the house for that but keep it in mind. This isn\'t an area of 100 meters of white sand out into the surf. We rented kayaks which worked well for cruising around (at high tide). Snorkeling was very good with abundant sea life if one is comfortable out past the turtle grass, shallow sea fan barrier, small breakers, into deeper ocean-side (10-15 feet) water, roughly 200m straight out. We noticed the separate locked garage, there seemed to be a 2nd story apt which apparently had tenants. We didn\'t interact and only saw a car there at night. The booking process was easy, informative and pain free. The on-island property manager, Roy, lives across the street and was friendly and helpful. The house was situated within easy, relaxed drive of Rum Point, East-Side, Crystal Caves, etc...

Thank you for your response. We had a storm and change in wind direction right before your arrival. The beach was cleaned prior to your arrival. I wish you had asked Roy to have someone come back to clear the beach - he would have had someone over there.

Perfect beach house

The first thing I don\'t get is that I am the first reviewer on this property.the guest comment book goes back many years and the house has clearly given as much pleasure to others as it did for our group. We stayed 2 weeks ,party for week one was 6 increasing to 8 for the second week.The house easily accommodates this and at no time did we feel crowded. Now the outside. Front area first. There is a great barbecue area in the front yard. Sounds odd but it works well. you are still stood on sand here and after barbecue you retire to the beach.great spot and it provided us with a fabulous cabaret one night as the apparently regular spray flight with spotlights blasting buzzed us at around 50 feet....The backyard is large and all white sand and palms, a stunning area with a conch shell lined path to the beach. As per earlier comment the beach is un manicured but is so much better for it. there is a line of washed up soft sea grass at the high tide line and stunning patches of super soft sea grass interspersed with stunning electric blue pools as far as the eye can sea. Fishing and snorkelling at the heads was fabulous . On the patio are there is a great outsize plunge pool which I guess is around 15 ft by 15ft...a life saver to cool down... The upshot of this review is that we never had the pleasure of meeting the owners but whoever you are thanks for letting us share a real beach house with none of the normal pretentious trappings we see on quality rentals so often we had a blast and one other footnote the wifi is damned good

If you are looking for a Glitzy beach front palace this is not for you.If you want a stunning spacious well equipped beach house on a stunning un manicured beach with sunrises to die for, light tackle fishing including bonefish, coral heads for snorkelling then this is for you. Main room is large and houses a clean and perfectly adequate kitchen,breakfast bar ,dining and sitting area all looking straight down to the beach. The aircon is top class and it needs to be it was real,real hot. Ceiling fans add to the cool down potential. All bedrooms and beds were great. Now the outside. Front area first. There is a great barbecue area in the front yard. Sounds odd but it works well. you are still stood on sand here and after barbecue you retire to the beach.great spot and it provided us with a fabulous cabaret one night as the apparently regular spray flight with spotlights blasting buzzed us at around 50 feet.... The backyard is large and all white sand and palms, a stunning area with a conch shell lined path to the beach. As per earlier comment the beach is un manicured but is so much better for it. there is a line of washed up soft sea grass at the high tide line and stunning patches of super soft sea grass interspersed with stunning electric blue pools as far as the eye can sea. Fishing and snorkelling at the heads was fabulous . On the patio are there is a great outsize plunge pool which I guess is around 15 ft by 15ft...a life saver to cool down... The upshot of this review is that we never had the pleasure of meeting the owners but whoever you are thanks for letting us share a real beach house with none of the normal pretentious trappings we see on quality rentals so often we had a blast and one other footnote the wifi is damned good

The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.

The homes on the oceanfront in Rum Point offer great reef-protected snorkeling. The beaches usually have plenty of white sand, but also can have spots of rocky “ironshore” with natural rock formations. The closer you get to Rum Point, usually the sandier the beach as well as the swimming. Either way, with the abundant marine life we have in the water, you will want to wear foot protection (pool shoes or fins).  The prevailing breeze (trade winds) from the east also makes flying insects less of a nuisance—many of the homes in Rum Point don’t even need a screened porch. 

The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, many water sports, a restaurant bar and grill, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also near Rum Point is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar, and marina

Lastly, we have 2 large resorts in the east end (Morritt's and The Reef) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, liquor store, gift shops, a Subway sandwich shop, and a cafe/pastry shop. These two resorts also offer scuba, snorkel trips, jet skis, windsurfing, kiteboarding, oceanfront pools, and bar service.

General Grand Cayman Beach Notes

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Lower Occupancy Discounts

Owner offers lower rates for fewer guests:

  • Groups of 10 or fewer guests not requiring the garage apartment, over non-holiday nights, received a $250 discount off the daily rate.
  • The unoccupied apartment will be locked off for the duration of your stay.

Occupancy Discounts are automatically applied against the full base rent when entering your dates and number of guests.  

Booking Rules

  • 5 nights minimum stay required.
  • 6 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Thanksgiving week.
  • 7 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Christmas and New Year's week.
  • Christmas & New Year's are split into two rental periods. Please inquire directly with your travel dates prior to booking.
  • Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
  • Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.
